The Bomber Wilkie utilizes pressure on the poll and raises the bit in the horse’s mouth to achieve additional control without resorting to a stronger mouthpiece.

This is similar to the action of a ring bit but to a milder degree which is why it has found favour for use on ponies.

The Elliptical is a 45 mm lozenge, it is stronger than the Control Plate due to it having a smaller surface area. Consequently, a horse using his tongue as a means of pushing against the bit and therefore taking control, will draw back and tuck his chin in, coming back to a better point of control.The mouth pieces are curved comfy to soften the bar pressure.
