The shape is such that it follows the contour of the horse's tongue. The centre joint has been double locked to ensure that the angle over the tongue remains correct, even when the reins are taken up, but it retains the individual lateral aids. The Ultra comfy has a generous curve, to follow the shape of the horse's mouth. We have found that the need for softer and softer bits has been growing, as breeding has been producing finer and more sensitive horses.
