The Bombers Elliptical Ultra Comfy Lock Up has a locking action that reduces pinching and pressure on the bars. The lozenge helps encourage your horse to lower their head and come into a frame. This bit is a great option for a horse that likes to sit above the bit/keep their nose too far out or has a high head carriage.
The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth. The Elliptical Lock Up removes the nut cracker action of the conventional three piece, meaning less pressure on the bars. The Elliptical Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional elliptical, although stronger than a control plate.
The bits are made from blue sweet iron: oxidizes easily, encourages salivation, helps bit acceptance and is warm and sweet. They do fade to brown with oxidation
